As usual, I set out from my hotel towards Mylopotas Beach, taking the back way that I’ve come to enjoy. The walk usually takes about 15 minutes, with a mix of uphill and downhill sections.  I had a small mishap before when I almost slipped on some gravel rocks along the path. Despite this, I still enjoy the walk, taking in the sights of the beautiful houses and the diverse mix of people, both locals and foreigners, that make Greece so vibrant.

But today is no ordinary day; it’s the 16th of June, my birthday! Instead of walking, I decided to take the bus to the beach, wanting to make the most of my special day. I spent the entire afternoon at Mylopotas Beach, soaking in the warm sun and the gentle waves, feeling grateful for another year of life. The beach is bustling with activity, with tourists and locals alike enjoying the sun and the sea.

After a relaxing time at the beach, I wandered a bit farther and stumbled upon a charming restaurant (unfortunately, I forgot the name). Their specialty is seafood, which happens to be my absolute favorite. I chose a fresh fish and shrimps, and the chef graciously prepared it for me, adding a delicious touch to my birthday celebration.

It was a perfect day, filled with sunshine, sea, and delicious food, making my birthday truly memorable.
